Georgetown-Ridge Farm CUSD #4 would receive approximately $433,000 annually if the proposition is approved
The items for which Georgetown-Ridge Farm would use the additional funds include:
Reduce property taxes. The district has facility debt from replacing roofs, installing HVAC, installing bleachers at MMJH gymnasium and the high school football field, and numerous safety improvements. The district would commit to using a portion of this new money to make the debt payment instead of levying property tax to meet this obligation.
Preventative repairs. Sales tax left over from property tax abatement would be used to address building and grounds improvements and preventative maintenance to avoid more expensive solutions in the future. Current issues include windows and doors in all buildings, paving of parking lots, security upgrades, and improvement of athletic fields.
Improve Opportunities including:
- facilities assessments to improve educational setting.
- traffic pattern study to determine the most effective traffic flow pattern and allocate resources to make improvements.
- examine athletic facility needs
- focus upon upgrading technological services to enhance learning.
